Transformation, Change and Letting Go.

Last night was a powerful full moon in zodiac sign Scorpio and not only did I place my crystals outside to charge in lunar’s silver shine; I also used the strong energy to pull a tarot card for a reading on my quest.

Full moon“When the Moon is in a sign, our emotions are engaged with the activities of that sign. At a Full Moon, opposite signs and their issues are brought together for us to reflect on their meaning and their effect on us. The signs of Taurus and Scorpio signify how we view the two basic laws of life: Life and Death, Creation and Destruction, Fulfillment and Annihilation. As you can imagine, people are feeling all the fears and needs tied up with these issues. To fulfill our new Aries destiny, we have to face what life brings us with self-awareness and humility, accepting necessary deaths to accommodate new life. We live in cycles as well as linear time. There must be destruction if there is to be new creativity. So by embracing our own psychological deaths and dealing with the emotional turmoil that arises when we give up long-term beliefs and patterns of behavior, we learn the lesson of death and re-birth.”

Now that I have left the comfort zone of having a regular place to return here in Bali and have packed my bags, I am officially on the road. ‘Destruction and Creation’. With that comes a lot of excitement as well as fears. The Moto Quest had started with a little idea of a bike ride and has over the last 5-7 months grown into a mad adventure plan. I am suddenly finding myself as the protagonist of a huge journey that’s based on a strong call to set out on some kind of a mythological adventure as magnification of the formula represented in the Rites of Passage: separation – initiation – reincorporation.

After a traumatic separation from my previous life in Australia, I prayed every day to the Divine for helping me finding the purpose in what had occurred. The lessons of ‘detachment’ and ‘letting go’ aren’t easily learned and it has been an aching task that has been following me my whole life. Not only when it comes to surrender places, relationships or life structures; it also has caused great health issues in my large intestine to an extent, that I had to let go of this whole organ itself, which spiritually stands for exactly that;
Transformation, Change and Letting Go.
I find it very fascinating to observe how life keeps repeating the same lessons until we have understood and integrated them. It seems like for me, a personal quest where I ventures forth from the world of common day into a territory of magic and wonder, is compulsory to transform my beliefs, heal my body and expand my soul in order to win my own victory.

Now, that I am following the call into the unknown, I am experiencing myself completely new as there is no planning, no expectations, only uncertainty. Divinations through tarot and shamanic journeys will assist me as a magical guidance and help me finding access to what lays hidden within me.
Currently, there are many moments of doubt and apprehension about my safety, my very poor riding skills, my financial situation on that trip and my physical conditions.

In the shimmer of lunar I held my tarot deck close to my heart and simply ask what I need to know about my quest, now that I am about to head off…

I pulled out the 6 of Pentacles:

Sex of PentaclesThe 6 of Pentacles is often a sign of a turn for the better, particularly with regard to money. It’s one of the more positive Pentacles cards. It speaks of equality, fairness, and the cyclical nature of life. When this card appears, you are likely to be heading into a positive cycle.

The 6 of Pentacles is often a card about generosity, meaning that you are either about to be the beneficiary or the giver of something with value. Share what you have as there is always someone who needs it. This generosity does not have to be fiscal, of course; a listening ear, spiritual support, etc. is often far more important than anything money can buy. Don’t be too proud to accept what is offered, if you are the intended recipient.

The appearance of this card points to an upward increase in your health and vitality. If you are dealing with serious illness already, this card points to a new and improved healing modality or healer coming into your life. This person or situation will be very helpful. Think positively and expect the best, and do not hesitate to ask for healthcare if you need it, regardless of your financial situation or insurance status. Help is always available.

This is a clear indicator that it’s important to share your spiritual understandings with others. You may not realize it, but you already have important insights to share. Equally so, it tells you that you do not have a corner on ALL the truth, and that you would do well to make a point to learn from others about their spiritual understandings. In short, undertake dialogues, in whatever way you can; don’t keep it all to yourself. Your life will deepen immeasurably if you reach out.

Do you see why I love Tarot cards? Do you see why I love life? 🙂
The next few days and weeks are withholding an exciting new experience and another great lesson of detachment from the known and familiar structure.
I am looking forward sharing the occurrence of my new realty with you.

Enjoy the splendor of May and the mystery of the Scorpio Full Moon.

Yeah, hallelujah –

  2. Deep thoughts Aileen, you sound good. Energy high. Have you heard of Transurfing? Doesnt matter if you havent your already practicing what it can do. Ride well, keep healthy. And we will see you further on down the road.

  3. Hi Aileen, I started following you on Instagram because you are in Bali and riding a motorcycle, which are two of my favorite things in life. Being a new rider is challenging, being a new riding in Bali traffic must be intense. After following you for a bit and coming to understand that you have had some difficulties in life, both emotional and physical, I honestly cannot think of a better way for you to heal than to be in Bali and to be on a moto journey. Bali and it’s people will help your healing process, especially if you believe. Equally good for your healing is solice of a moto journey. The variety of people you will meet will renew your faith in humanity, but it may also test it. The places you will see will be ah-inspiring; at times you will be amazed and other you will be scared to your core, but you will be thankful for each experience. As a new rider, I would encourage you to take time to reflect on every ride, no matter how short or simple. Think about what you experience and learned on the ride: how did the bike feel, what was the condition of the road, how were the other riders and drivers, were you distracted, did you respond correctly, what was your level of fear and why? All these contemplations will help you become a more natural rider, it will become a part of your being. Eventually, you will become one with the machine and the road; each requiring your utmost respect and giving the same in return. Ride smart and enjoy the journey!
